    boomer was a black guy in the original, moffet was the kids (boxey) real dog that died and replaced with a daggit robot dog

    Netflix streaming-only plan didn’t change.  It’s still $8/mo.  What changed is that they are no longer giving away streaming for free to DVD customers.  Netflix should never have “given” away streaming for free.  They should have given existing customers a 1-year free trial to streaming, and charged new customers the extra cost up front.  The could have even done this now – spun it as we gave away streaming but need to charge for it, but for being a loyal customer, we’re giving you it again for 50% off for another year, or whatever.  This was an epic marketing failure.
