Nice show! The Odyessy is an Escalade that turns like it has bad tires and the parking brake on, but with the right BOFF/DOFF and consoles, that will probably make it an excellent ship.

The bortaS on the other hand needs about 3 other ships to help it to turn…that thing is going to be a beam/turret boat if there ever was one. Of course, I’m sure there are those that would argue that, but it has its own zipcode; that’s how wide it is in the back.

The Q mish was nice; getting some Refined DIL was a decent prize, once you got the 2nd Anniv. party popper…did anyone take the mystery box and get anything good?

Major thing I noticed was that the new players to the game need some major help…don’t know if there should be a Global Help channel started, a la City of Heroes, which could answer all the questions. While it seems like there are far too many people that are lazy to read/follow instructions (which were very clear for the Q party and Odyessy mishes), there are plenty of new players who are looking for help/guideance and don’t seem to get clear answers all the time from Zone chat.
(And mad props to those people in Zone chat that are trying to help, even if they have to answer the same question 47 times over.)

Oh and great to see the show coming back Chris. Really looking forward to the 110 episode.

I joined up a day or two after STO went F2P and so far I’m loving the game. I did the Q mission every day during the event for some free dilithium and of course I did the mission for the free ship! lol I’m only a Commander (29) right now, but I look forward to flying the new ship in 20 or so levels. It’s probably just my lack of experience speaking and being used to the lesser free ships, but I liked the Odyssey during the short time I flew in it. I am an engineer and have been flying cruisers, so I’m used to a ship handling like a boat. lol I also really like the looks of the ship as well, and I normally prefer the round/sideways oval saucer shapes as found on the original series or TNG (Galaxy class is my favorite overall design) vs. the elongated saucers, but the Odyssey looks very nice. Add to that the fact it’s a free ship you get from an easy mission and it becomes a VERY nice ship from an engineering captain’s perspective. lol

I have been hesitant so far to buy a ship from the cs as I level too quickly to really enjoy the ship I’m in. It seems that once I get used to the new ship and do well in it, it’s time to get another. lol I don’t even play that much really, maybe a few to several hours a week, I don’t really keep track of it. If I have the time, I play. lol When I hit the level cap, I think I will invest in a cs ship or two, and at this rate it doesn’t look like it will be long before I hit the cap. I just wish I had thought about making a Klingon character during the event just to get the free ship, but the thought didn’t even occur to me. Not to mention I wouldn’t have had all of the bridge officers I have now and all of the skills needed for the ship… I don’t even know if there was a level requirement. lol It would have been fun to try though, if it would let me take the mission.

As to wondering how many players are there that aren’t playing through steam, I’m playing with my Perfect World account. I played a few of their games, primarily Perfect World, so I have already had an account there which made it easy to jump into STO.

All that being said, I look forward to episode 110! I have watched a lot of the STOked episodes even when I wasn’t playing the game as it is a fun show, and now I actually have a practical reason to watch. lol  I religiously watch The Linux Action Show and Tech Snap, and have seen every episode of both. You guys do a great job here! Keep it up!  

I’ll be trying out the Odyssey-class for a bit as I think its a lovely ship but I honestly can’t see it tempting my engie away from his sovereign Glad to hear you’re continuing with Stoked 110 Chris, looking forward to the new featured series and your impressions of it!

first i have to say that i love the new Odyssey class ship, and as for the turn rate it’s not all that bad. 2nd i would like to say i just love the Year Two Anniversary Tribute. 3rd i am looking forweard to stoked 110. 4th Chris keep up the good work i always like watching you, your a funny guy, dont change, also dont get discerage about the sto conteant like me your a lifer and this is a great game if you love star trek. see you saturday.

The game had a good direction with content and upcoming changes, then there was almost a year of what feels like nothing mostly due to the PW purchase, f2p and other staff changes. I’m hoping now that is all out of the way the content will start to flow with lots more weekly episode’s, get a few more of those in the bag! and some more endgame content and make up for last year’s glitch.
