Chris your mp4 don't appear to be compatible with FFmpeg (used by VLC, mplayer, etc)
I've tried playing back the medium video (mp4, 705.2 MB) and the video freezes after 2 seconds in. Seeking as a workaround also does not work.

    Medium Video – 739MB

Hey Chris, a friend introduced me to Home++. I love/hate it. What I think I really hate is the CPU on my Droid. I noticed the performance of my Droid seriously laggs when I try to add 6 screens. So; without over-clocking my CPU, it seems that the Droid can handle up to 4 home screens. Has that been your experience?

I agree with what you guys (Bryan and Chris) were saying about Fedora but I don't think the Fedora project is going to start making a version of Fedora that is better for new users and even if they do its going to take at lest 6 months. So maybe they could post a disclaimer on the download page. Something like
“Disclaimer Fedora if for experienced Linux users. If you are new to Linux please consider one of these projects: Linux Mint, Ubuntu, or (a Fedora remix that is better for new users if there is one)”

Is there a Fedora remix that is good for people that are new to linux?

At minute 36 Chris says: “The only codec we can release in today, and not be in potential violation of patents, is H.264, because it's been cleared until 2015″. Only if you buy into the FUD spread by Steve Jobs, Mpeg-LA and others.

The codecs and patents situation right now is: Theora is covered by some patents that are irrevocably free licensed. I don't know much about VP8, but I suspect it's in the same situation, or it doesn't “use” any patents. H.264, on the other hand, uses patents that are owned by the Mpeg-LA consortium and to which you must pay taxes to be licensed for those patents. But they don't make any guarantee regarding H.264 and other patents. So all three codecs are in exactly the same situation regarding threat from 3rd party patents.

The “clearing” of H.264 until 2015 is actually this: Mpeg-LA decided not to charge users of H.264 in certain cases until 2015.

talking about reviews, have you guys ever reviewed a rolling release distro, like arch linux? Would be interesting to see what you think of them.

    Thanks

You guys realize that the F in RTFM stands for Fedora right ?
