Focus | CR 17

On heels of our discussion of burnout Chris and Mike discuss a lead cause of burnout: a lack of focus. For developers, focus can mean a lot different things: raw concentration, choosing a single platform, or sticking with a project even when the grass looks a whole lot greener elsewhere.

Mike, have you tried any module or extension to PowerShell?
I want to try this if I have some spare time http://www.powershelladmin.com/wiki/SSH_from_PowerShell_using_the_SSH.NET_library
Also the pscx project on codeplex looks pretty interesting.

Michael mentioned being into Linux, at one time, during episode 17.
Please share with us your experience and advise; prospective Linux developers could benefit.

@sl Well, I think I have talked about some of the challenges and nice things I encountered developing on my Ubuntu box or do you mean developing with Linux as the target platform? I’ve touched on that a little… but not in any real detail.

No I haven’t. I use it mainly for git right now and the normal file system stuff.
