    Regarding remote administration, this blows my mind. X11 supports running applications remotely on a server machine through SSH, but displaying its GUI locally:

    i thought remote admin would be something like webmin or something like a web interface to cfengine / puppet etc – what this turned out to be is more about remote desktop viewing – which is where freenx seem to be for me – very interesting nonetheless – the linked to tech-radar article is really about remote desktops
