2011 Predictions:

A major hardware OEM will ship an ARM based desktop, running Ubuntu.

Users love Unity by 11.10. Soon after it’s clear most projects will try to support it if they are serious about the Linux Desktop. (OMG Ubuntu’s interview with Unity Dev.)

Check out the comments on LAS Season 14  Episode 9 for awesome submitted predictions!

No major distro will use Wayland by default.  Nobody will notice.

The first big MeeGo device will ship.  It will be pretty freaking cool.  Nobody will notice.

Some Submitted Favs:

“I predict in the following year, Bryan Lunduke will have to change his Linux Fest Northwest presentation to Linux No Longer Sucks Due to Illumination Sofware Creator.”

ChromeOS Devices will ship.  The internet will freak out.  They will be discontinued by end of year.
